BOOK AN APPOINTMENTPRP therapy, also known as plasma-rich therapy, uses concentrated platelets from the patient's own blood to stimulate the regeneration of damaged tissues. This therapy is based on extracting a small amount of the patient's blood, which is then processed in a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma. This plasma is then injected into the damaged area (tendons, ligaments, muscles or joints), where the platelets stimulate the regeneration process.
How PRP therapy works: The platelets in PRP plasma contain growth factors that are essential for cell renewal and regeneration. By injecting PRP into damaged tissues, the natural healing process is stimulated, thereby reducing pain, improving mobility and accelerating the restoration of functionality.
Benefits of PRP therapy:
- Faster recovery: PRP therapy accelerates the tissue regeneration process, helping patients recover faster from injuries and degenerative diseases.
- Treatment of sports injuries and chronic pain: The therapy is particularly effective in treating tendon injuries (such as tennis elbow), cartilage damage, osteoarthritis, and in recovery after surgical procedures.
- Using the patient's own cells: PRP therapy uses the patient's own cells, which minimizes the risk of side effects and rejection, making the therapy a safe and effective solution.
Painless and non-invasive method: PRP is a non-invasive therapy that does not require a long recovery period, and patients can usually resume light activities immediately after treatment. This method also has minimal side effects because it uses the body's own cells.
