Prevention is a key step in maintaining health and preventing the development of diseases, injuries or painful conditions. It is primarily aimed at healthy people in order to prevent the occurrence of health problems, which includes removing risk factors and improving general health. At the Terme Selce Polyclinic, we believe that prevention is the foundation of long-term health and quality of life, which is why we offer a variety of programs tailored to the different needs of our patients.

One of the key prevention programs we implement is systematic examinations of the LMS (locomotor system). These examinations provide a comprehensive insight into the condition of the musculoskeletal system and enable timely detection of potential problems, such as imbalances or early signs of degenerative diseases. The examinations are intended for anyone who wants to maintain the health of their locomotor system, and especially for people who are physically active or perform demanding physical work.

01

Examination by a physiatrist and other specialists

The first step in prevention involves a detailed examination by a physiatrist and other specialists. Our expert team conducts a thorough assessment of your health condition to identify potential risks and lay the foundation for further steps in the prevention program.

02

BIODEX isokinetic testing

The second step involves isokinetic testing using cutting-edge BIODEX technology. These tests allow for a precise analysis of muscle strength and balance, identifying potential weaknesses that could lead to injuries. Based on the test results, we create an individualized prevention plan.

03

Individualized therapy programs

Based on the diagnosis, we create a customized therapy program designed to improve your physical condition. The goal is to strengthen the muscular system, increase mobility, and reduce the risk of potential injuries through personalized therapeutic exercises and treatments.

04

Education through campaigns

Education is a key element of successful prevention. We conduct online educational campaigns aimed at raising awareness and providing useful information to target groups. In this way, we help our patients understand how to best take care of their health and recognize potential risks before they become serious problems.

Isokinetic testing is another important aspect of our preventive programs. This type of testing allows for a detailed analysis of muscle strength and balance, identifying weaknesses that could lead to injuries. Isokinetic testing is also used for athletes and people who engage in physically demanding occupations, and our goal is to help each patient stay as strong and resistant to injuries as possible.

We pay special attention to the prevention of spinal deformities in young people, with the aim of preventing the development of diseases and disabilities. The period of youth is crucial for the development of the spine, and improper posture, sitting for too long and lack of physical activity can lead to permanent deformities. Regular examinations and preventive measures help to recognize irregularities at an early stage and intervene in a timely manner to avoid serious consequences later in life.

In addition, we offer fall prevention in the elderly, which includes an assessment of the risk of falls and fractures. Falls represent one of the greatest health risks for the elderly, and through our program we identify potential risks and implement interventions that help maintain the safety and mobility of our elderly patients. Through targeted balance training, muscle strengthening and adaptation of living space, we contribute to preserving the independence and safety of seniors.

In addition to the above, we also implement the following prevention programs:

  • Prevention of risks associated with working conditions (IT sector, risky and other professions)
  • Prevention of sports injuries in the most demanding group of patients (top athletes)
  • Preparation of athletes
  • Preparation of athletes
  • Quarterly campaigns aimed at raising awareness of the seasonal nature of diseases (osteoporosis and others)

The programs are intended for: the working population, athletes, the elderly, children and young people.
