Distended superficial veins in legs - varicoses are among the most common vascular diseases. It is considered that 40% of adults have more or less prominent venous dilatations in legs.
Causes of varicose veins
- increased body weight
- inadequate physical activity
- long periods of standing or/and sitting
- wearing high heals
- female hormones increase the risk, especially during the pregnancy or after the delivery
